Survival Of The Fittest

Break me not
doe eye plead
cheetah oh cheetah please
I have a fawn,
not two days old
he can walk, but not run
he doth need me too
please give me but a day
I too have a cub
jus’ wee hours old
i have been starved a week
for my cub no milk i make
he mewls he cries for me too
Doe oh doe please
let me feed
so my cub can last a day
over a watering hole
a fact of life is played
so what is life indeed
a state of being or
an existence of sorts
So we all yearn for
Release, freedom
from the pressure and drudgery
of everyday existence,
an escape to
an alternate reality of abandonment
to cut free of the fetters that bind us
to this mortal realm of pain so agonizing,
to let go for once
and not be judged as anything.
